FREMONT — Local candidates got a final chance before Nov. 2 to make their cases to voters in a public forum Thursday, as the Kiwanis Club of Fremont hosted an election forum at Elks Lodge 169. Candidates from three contested Fremont City Council races, as well as Angie Ruiz, who's running unopposed in the city's Third Ward, appeared at the forum.
