DANBURY — A retired former chief of operations at a New York fire department was sworn in on Tuesday as the new interim chief of the Danbury Fire Department. Kevin Ford, who worked for the Yonkers Fire Department for 26 years, will lead Connecticut’s largest combined fire department for six months, until City Hall can name a new chief.
