Not long after the conclusion of the 2021 regular season, Guardians designated hitter Franmil Reyes was hoping to work with future hall-of-famer Albert Pujols in the Dominican Republic. He asked for, and was granted by the team, permission to go play winter ball in an effort to learn from one of the game's all-time great hitters.
