The cousin of a West Hartford teenager killed while visiting relatives in West Virginia in 2020 was sentenced to 40 years in prison last Wednesday. Austin Holmes-Evans, 18, was sentenced by Judge C. Carter Williams of the Hardy County Courthouse in Moorefield, West Virginia on second-degree murder charges for the killing of Johnathan “Johnny” Adams, 14.
